April’s Message to Anyone Living With CRPS or Chronic Pain

You are not weak for hurting.
You are not dramatic for needing rest.
You are not failing because your body asks more of you than it used to.
CRPS is brutal. Chronic pain is relentless. And yet—you’re still here. That alone says so much about your strength, even on the days you feel completely worn down.
Some gentle reminders to hold onto:
Your pain is real, even when others can’t see it. You don’t need to prove it.
Surviving is an achievement. Getting through the day counts. So does getting through the hour. Sometimes even the minute.
You are allowed to grieve the life you had, while still hoping for moments of light ahead.
Rest is not giving up. It’s an act of courage and self-preservation.
You are more than this illness. Pain may shape your days, but it does not define your worth.
On the days when the pain screams and hope feels quiet, remember this:
You are doing something incredibly hard—and you are doing it with a heart that still loves, still cares, still tries.
Be gentle with yourself. You are carrying more than most people will ever understand.
And you are not alone. 💛
