Laura, Living with EDS, CRPS & Dystonia

My name is Laura Anderson, and I was born with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. My journey with chronic illness and pain began early in life and has continued over the years.

Since the time this story was first shared, I have undergone nine surgeries on my left leg. My CRPS and dystonia have since progressed and now affect both of my feet. Living with these conditions has meant constant adaptation, resilience, and advocacy, not just for myself, but for others navigating similar paths.

My story has previously been shared by RSDSA and featured in advocacy materials, including a published book by Eric Phillips. While parts of my journey include difficult medical experiences, I continue to use my voice to raise awareness and support others living with complex pain conditions.

I remain committed to advocacy, education, and volunteering within the chronic pain community, and I am always open to finding ways to give back and help others feel less alone.
